iPi Mocap Studio is a software program provided by iPi Soft LLC for tracking an actor’s motion by analyzing multi-camera (or depth sensor) video recordings. Input videos are recorded with another tool — iPi Recorder.

For storing project data, the proprietary .iPiMotion, .iPiCalib, .iPiLocked, .iPiScene file formats are used which can be handled only by iPi Soft products.

As an output, iPi Mocap Studio produces a skeleton animation, that then can be applied to an arbitrary target humanlike character. The software includes features for tuning the final animation, such as jitter removal and trajectory filtering. A number of popular formats is supported for target character import and animation export including FBX, BVH, Collada, DMXand SMD.
